Soul Lotta Funk is a covers band. We are professional, experienced performers with a real passion for the music we play. What's more, we are skilled at communicating this to your audience, ensuring an unforgettable party experience!
We play a range of funk, soul, disco and dance classics from the '60s through to recent dance hits, all with an irresistible groove, guaranteed to make everybody want to get up onto the dance floor, whatever their age. Our repertoire includes floor-filling classics from artists like Earth Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder and Chaka Khan, through to recent hits by Bruno Mars, Lizzo and Ricky Martin. Weddings, corporate events, functions, birthday parties, retirement parties, work do's, festivals, pub/club/restaurant dates and anywhere else where people need to dance!

3) You want to book an act that is professional, experienced and easy to deal with. An act that can offer practical advice on how best to arrange your entertainment whilst working around your arrangements. That's us!
4) Most importantly, you want an act that delivers on the day and gives you value for your money. Again, that's us.
We've heard lots of stories of people booking local bands and discos for unbelievably cheap prices and paying the price through no-shows and poor performances! We are priced at reasonable rates and offer the guarantee of a legal contract which clearly sets out everyones' obligations.
Please remember we play disco, funk, pop, soul and some dance classics. So maybe if you are after a pure rock band, a top 40s band or loads of indie songs maybe we won't be the best choice for your event.
Research your wedding entertainment and allocate a good part of your budget. Parties are made of people, food, drink and music. If you don't get one of these right, it is quite possible you won't enjoy your day as much as you could.
All our packages include 120 minutes of live music performed by the band. Usually these are split into two 60 minutes sets but we are happy to adapt our sets to your schedule.
A disco service (Spotify) is included as per standard with all our packages for when the band is not playing live. You can select all the songs to be played in the disco playlist and if there is WiFi available at the venue we will be more than happy to take requests on the spot.
6pm arrival time and midnight finish.
Our standard band is a 6 piece band which includes male and female vocals, drums, guitar, keys and bass.
7 piece includes a sax player.
8 piece includes sax and trombone.
9 piece includes a full brass section with sax, trombone and trumpet.
10+ piece: more singers, percussionist, a live DJ, we can make it as big as you would like!

Live music for your wedding ceremony
Acoustic Live music for your drinks reception (duo to full band size in acoustic format)
You can also book a DJ through us. They will use our equipment and stay until 1am for you. (*Subject to availability)

With professional sound equipment and lights included as standard, we provide a cost effective solution that takes the hassle out of arranging the entertainment for your special day.
We are happy to discuss modifications to our packages if they do not match your requirements exactly and quote you a revised price. Use our contact form to get in touch with us to discuss our range of packages and obtain a no obligation quote.
You should book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Please contact us to find out our availability.
When you send us an enquiry you will always receive a quote for our 6 to 9 piece bands on an email. The quote will include all the extras including petrol and travel time. (*this will vary for destination events in which we will need to have a previous meeting with you before we can provide a quote for our services).
Information will also be offered on which Add-Ons are available.
We will not quote for line ups bigger than our 7 piece if we know that a particular venue can not fit the band in or has restrictions in terms of space and noise volumes.

Once you decide which line up and add-ons you would like to book we will send you our T&Cs and an invoice with information on your booking.
We require a deposit to secure the date of your event.
Once deposit is paid we will close that date on our calendars and the band will be booked!
If you are not sure which line up to book, you can always go for the standard 6 piece and then upgrade later on.
Once the band is booked, we will contact you periodically to make sure every stage of your event planning is taken care of.
Yes, in fact we'd recommend that you do so before booking. Check our Facebook and Instagram pages for the dates of our next public appearances. If you do come along, be sure to introduce yourself. We would love to meet you!
We are a band, not an agency and so we are always the same group of musicians. However, sometimes we need to attend important personal commitments or take time off due to illness. In that case, we will not let you down and we will replace that musician with a professional equally experienced in live performance. Get in touch for more information!
No! All musical, PA (sound system) and lighting equipment is of a professional standard and is included as standard.
If you are planning an event for a large amount of people (300+) please get in touch with us before you book. If you have a marquee event also get in touch to check our requirements (power, stage, etc.).
Yes and we can provide copies to you or your venue on request following booking. Our standard terms include warranties to this effect. The level of public liability cover is £10,000,000.
