Who is Soul Lotta Funk and what kind of music do you play?
SLF is a six-piece band comprising male and female lead vocalists, guitar, bass, drums and keyboards. We are professional, experienced performers with a real passion for the music we play. What's more, we're skilled at communicating this to your audience, ensuring an unforgettable party experience!
We play a range of funk, soul and dance classics from the '60s through to recent dance hits, all with an irresistible groove, guaranteed to make everybody want to get up onto the dance floor, whatever their age. Our repertoire includes floor-filling classics from artists like Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Chaka Khan, through to recent hits by Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams and Bruno Mars. We've heard lots of stories of people booking local bands and discos for unbelievably cheap prices and paying the price through no-shows and poor performances! We are priced at reasonable rates and offer the guarantee of a legal contract which clearly sets out everyones' obligations.
What packages do you offer?
We offer two main packages with the option to add on extra services.
Our Platinum package offers 120 minutes of live performance, whilst our Gold package offers 90 minutes.
Our optional add-ons include:
A disco service running before, between and after our performances with the ability to take requests on the day if wifi is present at the venue
A live first dance performance
An intimate acoustic performance for earlier in the day
Early Start or Late Finish for events beginning before 6pm or running past 12am respectively
With professional stage and dance floor lighting included as standard, we provide a cost effective solution that takes the hassle out of arranging the entertainment for your special day.
We are happy to discuss modifications to our packages if they do not match your requirements exactly and quote you a revised price.

When should I book the band and what's your availability?
You should book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Please contact us to find out our availability.
Can I see the band perform prior to booking?
Yes, in fact we'd recommend that you do so before booking. Check out Facebook or Twitter for the dates of our next public appearances. If you do come along, be sure to introduce yourself. We're very friendly!
Will I need to provide any equipment for the band?
No! All musical, PA (sound system) and lighting equipment is of a professional standard and is included as standard.
Do you have public liability insurance (PLI) and public appliance test (PAT) certificates?
Yes and we can provide copies to you or your venue on request following booking. Our standard terms include warranties to this effect. The level of public liability cover is £10,000,000.
